Job description

Overview

This role involves serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Corporate Actions systems within the relevant business area. You'll manage and support the entire lifecycle of Corporate Actions events, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The position also requires active collaboration across technology, operations, and business teams for effective testing and change management, along with rigorous documentation and governance activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as the SME for the Corporate Actions application, maintaining thorough knowledge of the system architecture, data flows, interfaces, and associated business processes.
  • Provide daily support to business users by addressing operational inquiries and advising on system use and best practices.
  • Ensure the accurate processing of Corporate Actions events in line with regulatory, market, and internal service requirements.
  • Continuously monitor operational procedures to identify and implement improvements.
  • Oversee the complete management of Corporate Actions events, both mandatory and voluntary, including client notification management and handling of instructions to safeguard client entitlements.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for clients and stakeholders to ensure timely and excellent service delivery.
  • Develop testing methodologies, define strategies, and determine acceptance criteria for system upgrades and project deliveries.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), handling planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting in close cooperation with all relevant teams.
  • Support the implementation and validation of system changes post-deployment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation encompassing business requirements, system designs, workflows, and testing artifacts, ensuring compliance with governance and control standards.
  • Assist audit and regulatory processes by maintaining precise records and encouraging risk management and operational controls across activities.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience processing Corporate Actions, with sound understanding of mandatory and voluntary events.
  • Background in Banking, Custody, Securities Services, or Financial Services industries is preferred.
  • Practical experience in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing processes.
  • Solid knowledge of complete Corporate Actions workflows, system interfaces, and data management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Technology groups, Operations teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in documentation and business analysis.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to precision, quality, and client service excellence.
