Overview
Located in Aldgate, London, this permanent, full-time opportunity invites a Junior AutoCAD Technician to contribute to varied design projects. Working closely with senior personnel and reporting directly to company directors, this role offers the chance to transform preliminary sketches and engineering details into precise 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD software. The position operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, within a contract engagement, with salary terms negotiable.
Key Duties
- Develop and revise comprehensive 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, incorporating redline corrections, survey data, and engineer annotations.
- Adjust drawings according to evaluations and suggestions from senior designers and contract management teams.
- Assist with electronic document handling, including maintaining bills of materials, updating files, and distributing drawings through document management systems.
- Adhere strictly to internal drafting protocols, building codes, and health and safety standards throughout all CAD activities.
Candidate Profile
- Experience working within an office environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise successfully with internal teams and external contractors.
- Sound proficiency or solid foundational knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in interpreting measurements, scales, and technical information.
