Job description
About Us
We are Zum goldenen Hirschen Köln, experts in crafting creative campaigns and strategic communication for businesses and brands. We combine creativity, strategy, content, consulting, and digital expertise to simplify complex challenges — this is the essence of our communication approach. Since our inception, we have embraced bold, unconventional ideas while maintaining excellence in our work. Our teams are integrated with flat hierarchies and a high degree of personal responsibility, fostering curiosity and trust among colleagues — not only in Cologne but across our five Zum goldenen Hirschen locations.
Role Overview
Our Cologne office is searching for imaginative minds with a digital mindset who want to create distinctive visual worlds for powerful brands.
Responsibilities
- Generate, develop, and realize creative ideas: engage fully from conceptualization to visual execution of creative concepts and campaigns.
- Visually strengthen brands: confidently work through briefs — sometimes guided, sometimes independently — and design compelling visuals for online, print, and television.
- Create holistic designs: produce everything from initial layouts and concept visualizations to comprehensive campaign materials with persuasive presentations.
- Collaborate effectively: work closely with colleagues in copywriting, consulting, and strategy to achieve the best outcomes together.
Qualifications
- A completed degree in design or a comparable qualification; prior professional experience, especially in a creative agency, is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud programs, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- A strong passion for design and conceptual thinking, visual orientation, structured working style, and an excellent sense for compelling imagery.
- Understanding of contemporary storytelling and capability to initiate innovative concepts to drive campaigns both online and offline.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
You are eager to create new things and see change as an exciting opportunity rather than a threat. You not only have great ideas but also immediately propose suitable media for them. When a new platform emerges, you contemplate its potential applications instantly. In brief, you are creative, curious, and possess a digital mindset.
What We Offer
- Flexible hybrid work arrangements, allowing you to choose when to work from our inviting Cologne office or from home.
- Responsibility and trust via integrated teams with flat hierarchies, high autonomy, and trust-based vacation policies.
- Opportunities for personal and professional growth through our Brave Academy.
- Being part of a strong network of over 400 colleagues across six locations, anchored by a vibrant presence in Cologne.
Additional Benefits
- Access to Urban Sports Club membership.
- Support for mental health via nilo.health platform.
- Company pension schemes.
- Subsidies for BusinessBike programs.
- Eco-friendly electricity subsidies.
