About the Role
EY’s data and advanced analytics practice in Asia-Pacific brings together a team of more than 500 specialists across multiple industries. The group designs and delivers data strategies, modern platforms, and advanced analytics solutions that help organizations grow, improve performance, and strengthen resilience. Work here spans the full lifecycle, from solution design to build and implementation, across real-world data environments.
This opening is for a GenAI Engineer who will help create and deploy single-agent and multi-agent applications. The role blends artificial intelligence, natural language processing, machine learning, and software engineering to deliver practical GenAI-powered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and launch intelligent single-agent and multi-agent applications that use GenAI models such as LLMs for planning, task breakdown, and execution.
- Build and support complete AI-driven workflows that connect with backend services, APIs, and data pipelines on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Design and improve NLP and predictive models to extract insights from structured and unstructured datasets.
- Work with cross-functional teams to convert business needs into scalable GenAI solutions.
- Run rapid prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and experiments using agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangFlow, LangGraph, LangSmith, or LlamaIndex.
- Write maintainable, production-ready code with strong packaging and software engineering practices.
- Use full-stack development and DevOps skills, with hands-on coding in Python, Java, React, and Node.js for end-to-end application development.
- Present results and recommendations clearly to business and management stakeholders.
- Keep up with evolving tools, methods, and standards in AI and data analytics.
- Set delivery milestones and success measures to ensure timely execution aligned to business goals.
Skills and Attributes Needed
- Working knowledge or beginner-level exposure to NLP, machine learning, generative AI, data transformation, and scripting.
- Understanding of project delivery approaches such as SDLC, agile, or hybrid methods.
- Experience contributing to exploratory analysis, data science, or big data analytics work.
- Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Background in business intelligence, data warehousing/platforms, or data strategy initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in NLP, machine learning, or generative AI, especially with large language models.
- Solid programming ability in Python and other full-stack languages as needed.
- Good grasp of machine learning, language modelling, data mining, and predictive modelling concepts.
- Strong understanding of data science algorithms, tools, processes, and platforms.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and perform well in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Familiarity with API integration, containerization such as Docker, cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
