Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Accountant based in Dubai to join our team full-time on-site. The role involves managing daily accounting operations, including invoice processing, journal entries, ledger updates, account reconciliations, expense tracking, and supporting monthly and yearly financial closings. The candidate will also prepare basic financial statements, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors, and ensure adherence to company and local regulatory policies. Routine finance administrative duties and assistance to senior accounting staff are part of the responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions accurately.
- Draft invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Assist accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements with company accounts.
- Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
- Support the closing procedures at month-end and year-end.
- Help prepare financial reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Basic accounting knowledge including bookkeeping, general ledger, and financial statement fundamentals.
- Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in spreadsheets like Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Effective communication for interacting with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Capability to perform well in a fast-paced on-site setting with minimal supervision.
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Up to one year of relevant experience is acceptable.
- Knowledge of UAE financial regulations or automotive industry experience is advantageous.
