JINS has a strong reputation for nurturing children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with over 12,000 graduates. Operating across 5 vibrant locations in Dubai, the nurseries follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and an International Pre-school programme.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant and Administrative Officer to help maintain the smooth financial and administrative operation of our nurseries. The candidate will utilize their accounting skills, time management, and interpersonal abilities to manage daily accounting and administrative tasks accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Perform accountancy and bookkeeping activities as per service requirements.
- Provide financial advice related to education services to the Nursery and act as the primary contact for parents regarding financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial and VAT regulations, and Head Office directives.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.
- Manage bank accounts and petty cash administration.
- Monitor and manage outstanding fees, ensuring collection within agreed timelines.
- Support cash flow management by preparing weekly and future cash flow projections.
- Prepare and publish monthly financial statements with accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance is required.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience with attention to numerical accuracy and detail orientation.
- Strong customer service capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and management at all levels.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
