Role Overview
Maison Valentino is seeking a Junior Account Executive with wholesale experience in women’s footwear and accessories. The role focuses on managing the commercial performance and financial tracking of independent accounts, while also supporting the Senior Sales Manager and the wider wholesale team with sales execution, reporting, product knowledge sessions, and client service. The position includes order administration, sales market coordination, and sample request handling. Domestic travel of 20–30% may be required, and there may also be occasional international travel to present collections in Milan and Paris.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with specialty wholesale clients while supporting major and department store accounts.
- Coordinate market appointments, present collections, and process orders and swaps during market preparation.
- Compile weekly selling reports and share key data with executive leadership and the corporate headquarters in Italy.
- Review market trends and competitive performance, then work with the Senior Sales Manager to shape sales strategies that improve profitability.
- Oversee account inventory to support replenishment needs and reduce end-of-season stock.
- Monitor sales performance to identify opportunities for reorders.
- Handle account orders and order tracking, including shipping reports, allocation documents, and EDI worksheets in coordination with Customer Service.
- Keep line sheets, exit lists, buy books, stock lists, and account recaps current and organized.
- Support product delivery, sales analysis, replenishment, and purchase order management.
- Lead product knowledge clinics for independent and major accounts each season to explain new products, design updates, trends, and value.
- Coordinate sample requests needed for product knowledge training.
- Travel domestically, and when required internationally, to present collections to clients in showroom settings in Milan and Paris.
Qualifications and Competencies
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not mandatory.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a wholesale setting.
- Working knowledge of core sales principles.
- Strong retail math capability and analytical thinking.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Effective critical thinking and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable with public speaking and strong interpersonal communication.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for approximately 20–30% of the time.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
Compensation
The listed base salary range for this role is USD 60,000 to USD 70,000 per year, depending on experience and subject to change.
