Opportunity Overview

This is a compelling opportunity for a seasoned technology support professional to offer expert advice and assistance to members of the Judiciary along with their staff. The role is designed for a proactive, service-minded individual who thrives on delivering high-quality, hands-on support while fostering strong, trust-based relationships with judicial users.

Role Focus

Based on-site at Palmerston North District Court, the Judicial Support Advisor is essential in providing responsive and reliable digital support services. The role balances technical proficiency with excellent relationship management to help judges and their teams utilize technology effectively to support justice delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

  • Deliver hands-on technical support and advice both remotely and desk-side.
  • Develop trusted relationships and engage meaningfully with diverse stakeholders including senior judicial members.
  • Identify technology improvement opportunities and facilitate user adoption.
  • Ensure all services align with organizational priorities, standards, and initiatives at local and national levels.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute tasks meeting deadlines and quality requirements.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues to build team capabilities.
  • Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and processes within a dynamic environment.
  • Travel as required to support geographically distributed operations, holding a valid New Zealand driver license.

Additional Qualifications and Preferences

  • ITIL certification is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Justice Sector and Government environments is beneficial.
  • High standards of personal presentation that demonstrate respect towards judicial clients.
