Role overview
Vytalize Health is hiring a Junior IT Support Specialist to join its Technology team. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for internal users who need technical help, while also handling a focused stream of identity and access management requests across internal systems and external electronic medical record platforms. The work includes coordinating user access with medical practices, supporting onboarding and offboarding, and setting up required tools such as VPN clients, Remote Desktop clients, and software supplied by outside vendors.
This role is well suited to someone with a solid helpdesk foundation who is interested in, or already familiar with, healthcare technology environments.
Key duties
- Respond to employee tickets covering hardware, software, and access-related issues.
- Process identity and access requests for both internal business applications and external EMR systems used by partner medical practices.
- Liaise with outside IT teams at medical practices to gather installers, verify connection needs, and work through access-related problems.
- Install and configure software needed for EMR connectivity, including VPN clients, Remote Desktop clients, and practice-specific utilities or custom installers.
- Work with clinical and administrative teams to ensure EMR access is set up correctly and delivered on time.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities tied to user access and device readiness across all platforms.
- Create and maintain documentation for procedures, troubleshooting approaches, and common recurring issues to improve knowledge sharing.
- Escalate difficult cases to the right team members and continue tracking them through resolution.

Required background
- One to two years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk position.
- Experience assisting users in a Microsoft 365 cloud environment, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Working familiarity with Windows operating systems and remote support software.
- Practical experience installing and troubleshooting VPN and Remote Desktop Protocol clients.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to assist users at different technical skill levels.
- Understanding of identity and access management concepts and practices.
- Background in healthcare IT or experience supporting EMR/EHR platforms.
