Cactus Communications, through its Editage brand, offers translation services supporting ESL researchers in effectively sharing their scientific work worldwide. We seek proficient translators to collaborate with us on a freelance contract basis, focusing on academic and scientific manuscripts.

Job Responsibilities

As a translator, you will utilize your linguistic abilities alongside your subject matter expertise in applied physics to help researchers publish their work in top-tier journals. Your core responsibility involves translating scholarly documents between Japanese and native-level English.

Eligibility Criteria

• Possess a degree in Translation or a related qualification including substantial translation training from an accredited institution,
• OR hold a graduate or higher degree in another discipline with at least two years of comprehensive professional translation experience,
• OR have a minimum of five years of extensive professional translation experience.

Additional Information

Preference will be given to individuals experienced in foreign-language environments. Previous association with this translation role at our company requires contacting us directly before applying. Please note this position is onsite in New Zealand under a contract arrangement.
