Role overview
The Taber Sanitation Technician supports the success of Frito Lay Canada by handling a vital part of the business’s “move” function. This role focuses on keeping employee welfare areas clean and orderly while carrying out daily duties efficiently and effectively.

Compensation and schedule
The position pays $23.65 per hour. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out thorough cleaning of employee welfare areas to a high standard.
- Maintain cleanliness in lunchrooms, clean rooms, hallways, unlocked office areas, meeting rooms, exterior grounds, and all washrooms on site.
- Use sanitation and janitorial cleaning chemicals safely and in line with all applicable safety procedures.
- Keep janitorial equipment and storage areas neat, organized, and well maintained.
- Complete all cleaning records accurately and use them to identify and prioritize unfinished areas.
- Provide occasional support to the sanitation department.
- Assist manufacturing operations during emergencies or line changeover cleaning as needed.
- Help with Quality Food Safety CAPA-related tasks.
Qualifications and skills
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on workplace cleanliness.
- Reliable, mature, and able to show strong personal accountability.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including lockout/tagout procedures when required and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and work in hot, noisy environments.
- Good teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with operators, janitorial staff, and sanitation teammates.
- Comfort working independently in a self-directed and efficient manner.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure and solve problems quickly.
- Previous janitorial or sanitation experience or training is considered an advantage.
- Consistent attendance history year over year.
