About the Role

SSC Services For Education is actively recruiting for full-time Janitor roles to maintain cleanliness and orderliness at educational facilities. Based in Kernersville, NC, primarily at Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools (2500 West Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284), other openings exist throughout the school district. Work Schedule

The position offers full-time shifts from Monday to Friday, running from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Both full and part-time schedules are available to accommodate various needs, with comprehensive details provided during interviews.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates must have prior experience in commercial cleaning roles. The job involves performing heavy cleaning duties, including floor maintenance, rug shampooing, washing walls and windows, and trash removal. Compliance with federal, state, and county guidelines is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash properly following infection control standards.
• Regularly dust and damp mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move furniture and equipment for thorough cleaning and return items to their original places.
• Sanitize surfaces using assigned materials and follow a detailed eight-step cleaning process.
• Clean walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards to maintain a hygienic environment for students, visitors, and staff.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and proactively complete those tasks.
• Perform floor stripping, scrubbing, buffing, refinishing, and carpet shampooing.
• Support team efforts and demonstrate professionalism with coworkers and clients.
• Complete assignments as directed by supervisors and perform additional duties as required.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate ranges from $15.00 to $15.50 per hour.
