Job description

About the Organisation

The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) is a global body that sets valuation standards and works to advance a consistent worldwide approach to valuation through high-quality guidance and professional excellence. Its work supports financial reporting, secured lending, capital adequacy, legal disputes, liquidation, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, tax, compulsory purchase, and other valuation needs.

IVSC is a not-for-profit organisation operating in the public interest. Its network includes leaders from valuation professional bodies, major valuation firms, universities, government departments, major investors, investment banks, regulators, and other respected standard-setting organisations. The council has more than 240 member and sponsor organisations. Its headquarters are in London, with regional offices in Singapore and Riyadh, and its board includes members from over 40 countries.

Role Overview

To support its KSA Nitaqat approach, IVSC is seeking a Saudi national to join as the Middle East and Africa (MEA) Communications Officer, based in Riyadh and reporting to the IVSC MEA Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with carrying out IVSC’s outreach strategy across the Middle East and Africa, engaging regulators, valuation professional organisations, valuation preparers and users such as investors, banks, accountants, and academic institutions.
  • Support the growth of IVSC’s membership and sponsorship base by identifying leads, reaching out to prospects, and following up consistently.
  • Partner with the global Director of Communications to plan and coordinate external communications across the web, email, social media, advertising initiatives, and events.
  • Contribute to internal communications across the organisation, including communication with staff, board members, and volunteers worldwide.
  • Plan, promote, and deliver in-person events and webinars with partner organisations.
  • Carry out market research to evaluate the feasibility of future ideas, proposals, and opportunities.

Required Background and Skills

Applicants should hold a university degree at Bachelor level or higher and have at least 3 years of relevant work experience. The role calls for strong spoken and written English and Arabic, along with confident public speaking ability. Candidates should bring an entrepreneurial mindset, a proactive approach, and the ability to help expand IVSC’s presence across the Middle East and Africa.

Strong consultative and communication skills are important, both written and verbal, along with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and communicate information clearly. Proficiency in common business software is expected, especially Microsoft Office; experience with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva is highly desirable. The role also requires comfort working in a multicultural environment, collaboration as a team player, and willingness to travel occasionally, mainly within the Middle East and Africa. Familiarity with valuation, accounting, and finance is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

This position is based in Riyadh. The package includes a competitive salary, the possibility of a performance-based bonus, flexible working hours, and 21 days of annual leave. Interested candidates should submit a covering letter and CV by email.
