About the role

At Leipzig/Halle Airport, you will join a major airport group that serves millions of passengers each year and handles around 1.4 million tonnes of freight annually. The site is one of Europe’s leading air cargo hubs, and the wider airport family employs more than 1,100 people across Leipzig/Halle and Dresden, supporting a strong regional business network.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Leipzig/Halle.

Your responsibilities

  • Take ownership of administering core IT environments, including Windows, Linux, VMware, storage, and backup platforms.
  • Plan, deploy, and support Windows servers, client systems, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 Cloud, Azure, and AWS.
  • Investigate hardware and software faults and drive the steps needed to resolve them.
  • Prepare maintenance activities and monitor their execution.
  • Carry out system analyses and contribute to the planning and preparation of investment measures and IT projects.
  • Review and bill services, and develop working documentation, policies, and operating instructions.

Your profile

  • You have a degree in computer science or business informatics, or you bring equivalent training plus several years of professional experience.
  • You have strong expertise in cloud administration and in building stable, secure cloud environments.
  • You are familiar with migrating on-premises solutions to cloud providers.
  • You are highly skilled in storage and backup systems, as well as firewall and security solutions.
  • You communicate clearly, work reliably, and can advise stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • You bring strong analytical thinking and solid technical consulting skills.
