About the Opportunity

We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-focused IT Support Technicians with an emphasis on Data Technician roles to join our team. Candidates will be assessed according to flexible criteria, and assignments will depend on organizational priorities and individual skills. Selected individuals may work in one or several of the functional areas described below.

Functional Areas & Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as part of a team to manage and implement complex databases under supervision, aiding in the design and engineering of organizational databases.
  • Monitor database performance, scalability, and security while evaluating existing designs to recommend necessary updates and ensure new implementations fulfill business requirements.
  • Possess experience in installation, maintenance, and administration of RDMS systems like PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server, with a preference for Oracle.
  • Develop and design SQL queries and reports to extract necessary data with guidance.
  • Work effectively in a cooperative, agile team environment.
  • Demonstrate high self-motivation and manage multiple discipline support calls efficiently.
  • Have familiarity with database partitioning, microservices architecture, and cloud-native database solutions including AWS RDS and DynamoDB.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent, with associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with software applications and common business systems.
  • Ability to follow instructions, scripts, and procedures precisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills suitable for customer interactions.
  • Ability to work under guidance and properly escalate issues.
  • Experience supporting collaborative software development lifecycles in agile teams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, GitHub, and Jira.
  • Relevant prior experience in related functions is advantageous.
