About Sony Interactive Entertainment
Sony Interactive Entertainment is the company behind the PlayStation brand and a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation. It develops advanced hardware and network services used by more than 100 million people worldwide, and it is known for creating entertainment experiences and globally recognized intellectual properties.
Role Overview
The IT Service & Support function is focused on creating a high-quality employee technology experience. The team’s goal is to set a strong standard for how IT enables people to work, collaborate, and innovate. This role requires curiosity, energy, and a consistent commitment to excellent service.
You will join the IT Engineering Support team, where the focus is on removing friction from day-to-day work, resolving issues end to end, and spotting recurring knowledge gaps across teams. The position sits at the crossroads of IT support and engineering and is designed for someone who can combine technical troubleshooting with strong interpersonal skills. A genuine interest in automation and scripting is important, as part of the job involves finding ways to improve operational efficiency through tools and process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complex and high-impact technical issues as a senior Tier 2 escalation point across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Use and develop automation with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar tools to reduce manual work and improve support efficiency.
- Spot opportunities to simplify support operations through scripting, automation, and better workflows.
- Work with Client Platform Engineering, Global IT, and Security teams to align standards, improve endpoint performance, and automate processes.
- Support enterprise systems including Intune, JAMF Pro, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Help with project activities such as planning, coordination, and deployment of new tools or service enhancements.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and internal knowledge base articles.
- Support the upkeep and improvement of scripts, operational tools, and team support processes.
- Coach Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers and help strengthen technical capability across the team.
- Follow Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Global Information Security Policy and maintain strong security and data protection standards.
- Promote IT Service Management best practices to improve the quality and consistency of incident, request, and problem handling.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in IT support within a large enterprise environment, including advanced Tier 2 work and some Tier 3 exposure.
- Strong administrative experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Practical knowledge of device management platforms such as Intune and JAMF Pro.
- Ability to create or maintain scripts in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Good understanding of networking, security, and storage fundamentals.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Exchange/Outlook, and related collaboration tools.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management concepts.
- Clear communication and strong people skills, along with a commitment to excellent employee support.
- Exposure to virtualization or cloud environments such as vSphere, Azure, or AWS is beneficial.
- Experience with developer tools such as GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, or SaaS platforms is desirable.
- Background in IT enablement or productivity engineering initiatives is a plus.
- Awareness of endpoint analytics and Zero Trust principles is preferred.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, APIs, and operational tooling would be an advantage.
- ITIL Foundation certification or a higher-level certification is desirable.
- Background checks are carried out at the offer stage, and some roles may include criminal background screening.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong, and motivated by solving complex problems while improving the employee experience through data-informed improvements. You should be comfortable working independently and collaborating with global IT and engineering partners.
Attributes
- Employee-first mindset with strong problem-solving and relationship-building ability.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about innovation and automation.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and contributing to cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaborative team player who leads by example and supports continuous improvement.

The estimated annual base pay range for this position is EUR 43,800 to EUR 65,600. The final salary may vary based on location, experience, skills, and other job-related factors, including considerations tied to the company’s hybrid working policy.
