Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven IT Support Officer / IT Help Desk Officer to join the IT function in Australia. This is a full-time, entry-level opportunity suited to junior professionals and recent graduates who enjoy solving technical issues, supporting users, and helping keep workplace technology running smoothly.
What You Will Do
- Act as the first point of contact for technical issues involving hardware, software, networks, and systems.
- Answer support requests through phone, email, chat, or ticketing tools and work through issues to resolution.
- Set up, install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other workplace devices.
- Support application installs, updates, and basic system configuration tasks.
- Handle account administration tasks such as user creation, password resets, and access control.
- Track incoming support tickets and work to close them within the expected timeframes while keeping users informed.
- Escalate more advanced incidents to senior IT staff or specialist teams when needed.
- Keep detailed logs of incidents, fixes, and support actions for future reference.
- Assist with routine maintenance, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.
- Help maintain and improve IT support guides and knowledge base content.
What We’re Looking For
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Working knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and common computer hardware.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet access troubleshooting.
- Exposure to help desk or ticketing platforms will be considered an advantage.
- Good analytical thinking and the ability to diagnose problems effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and an openness to learning new tools and technologies.
- Prior internship, customer service, or IT support exposure is helpful but not mandatory.
