Role overview
A small, established managed service provider in South County Dublin is looking for an IT Support Engineer at Level 1/Level 2 to join its service desk team. The position is office-based five days a week and requires hands-on support across several client environments.
What the job involves
- Handling and closing support tickets for a range of clients
- Diagnosing issues affecting Windows desktops, user access, applications, and connectivity
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Active Directory, and related account problems
- Assisting users with MFA, Authenticator apps, and login/access difficulties
- Performing basic network checks for TCP/IP, DNS, and similar problems
- Working with security tooling and processes such as EDR, MDR, and general cyber hygiene practices
- Communicating with clients through phone calls, email, and ticket notes
- Passing issues to the right team or tier when escalation is needed
- Attending occasional client sites when required
Experience and location requirements
This role calls for roughly 3 to 4+ years of IT support background, specifically gained in an MSP setting. Experience in managed services is essential because the work involves supporting multiple clients, moving between different systems, and dealing with tickets quickly. The role is strictly office-based for five days each week and cannot be done remotely. Applicants must already be living in South County Dublin and be legally allowed to work in Ireland without any visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
What the employer is looking for

- Residence in South County Dublin
- Access to a car or motorbike is helpful, though not essential
