Role overview
An established IT services business in North Dublin is looking for a Level 1 Technical Support Engineer / Helpdesk Engineer to support its business customers. This position is suited to someone with 2–3 years of IT support experience in Ireland who is keen to build their career in a technically strong environment with coaching, hands-on learning, and opportunities to move into more advanced support, project-based tasks, field work, or specialist technical work.
The job is office-based in North Dublin / North County Dublin for five days each week, and the salary on offer is €35,000.
Key duties
- Handle remote support requests for business clients from initial ticket to final resolution.
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environments.
- Provide assistance with Windows desktops and end-user issues.
- Carry out basic networking support tasks.
- Work with Teams, SharePoint, and Azure-related support issues.
- Assist with endpoint security troubleshooting.
- Support firewall-related issues, with SonicWall being the preferred platform.
- Keep tickets updated and see issues through to closure.
- Help with onboarding new customers.
- Produce clear and useful technical documentation.
- Support project tasks as your technical experience grows.
Candidate profile
To be considered, you should have 2–3 years of IT support experience in Ireland and have worked in a Technical Support Engineer, IT Helpdesk Engineer, or IT Support Engineer capacity. You will need solid Microsoft 365 support knowledge, good Windows desktop and general user support skills, basic networking understanding, and the ability to manage tickets and documentation effectively. Strong written and spoken English, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to take ownership of issues through to resolution are also important.
You should live in or close to North Dublin / North County Dublin, and you must already be fully authorised to work in Ireland. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Preferred experience
- Background in MSP or IT services environments.
- Experience with Kaseya.
- Exposure to SonicWall firewalls.
- Administration experience with Azure, Teams, or SharePoint.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools.
Additional information
This position is based in the office five days per week in North Dublin / North County Dublin. Applicants must be living in or near the area and be legally eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship.
