Role Overview
DEAL Holdings invites applications for the position of IT Specialist based in Dubai, responsible for supporting the company's technological operations across office, operational, and multiple site locations. This role demands maintaining IT infrastructure and providing excellent user assistance while ensuring system security and operational readiness.
Core Responsibilities
- Be the primary contact for internal IT support, handling helpdesk queries, troubleshooting, and escalation processes.
- Set up and configure employee devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile gadgets, and associated peripherals.
- Administer user accounts, permission settings, and access controls across various platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Swiftly address hardware, software, and connectivity problems to minimize operational disruptions.
- Oversee network infrastructure elements including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Maintain robust internet and VPN connectivity for all personnel.
- Manage and monitor server systems, whether physical or cloud-based, ensuring reliable backups and recovery plans.
- Enforce IT security policies encompassing antivirus software, patch management, and data protection protocols.
- Monitor and react promptly to security threats or incidents.
- Ensure that all software licensing is up to date and fully compliant.
- Supervise software deployments and maintenance of internal tools.
- Keep thorough documentation covering IT processes, asset inventories, and system configurations.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and minimize user disruption.
- Assist with the deployment of new systems, infrastructure upgrades, and IT projects.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of hardware, software, printing technologies, networking, Microsoft 365, and user support workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a proactive learning mindset and customer-focused approach.
- Effective communication and organizational abilities.
- Experience through internships, academic projects, or entry-level IT roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
