Role Overview

The IT Section Head will be responsible for guiding the technical support function, ensuring excellent service delivery, quickly resolving technology issues, and keeping the organization’s IT landscape stable, secure, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization’s IT environment, covering servers, networks, devices, applications, email platforms, and internet access, while maintaining strong uptime and reliable performance.
• Direct day-to-day IT operations by responding to support needs, fixing system problems promptly, and putting preventive actions in place to reduce interruptions.
• Create, apply, and track IT procedures, security safeguards, and disaster recovery arrangements to support information protection, privacy, regulatory compliance, and continuity of operations.
• Lead IT projects, digital enhancement efforts, and system improvement initiatives so they align with company goals and approved budgets.
• Handle the IT budget, purchasing activities, supplier coordination, service agreements, and technology investments to achieve the best balance of value and performance.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the IT team by setting priorities, reviewing performance, and encouraging learning and ongoing improvement.
• Work closely with business teams to understand technology needs, suggest suitable solutions, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
• Track system health, review trends, carry out regular audits, and produce reports covering IT operations, security, compliance, and performance indicators.
• Make sure IT activities follow company rules, cGMP expectations, relevant regulations, and industry standards, while protecting confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, in line with local country requirements.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong command of Arabic and English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical audiences.
• Exposure to HR systems.
• Experience with manufacturing and quality systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle.
• Understanding of GMP practices.
• Project management capability.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, especially networking and server administration.
