Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Operations Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance Prevail Partners' IT systems and Microsoft 365 environment. Reporting to the Solutions Engineer, this role involves supporting user lifecycle activities, handling endpoint and system administration, enabling continuous operational improvements, and offering second-line technical support as needed. The role also supports cybersecurity, governance, business projects, and continuous development initiatives.
Key Duties
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Deliver second-line IT support by resolving technical incidents and service requests efficiently.
- Coordinate user onboarding, offboarding, account administration, license management, and access control.
- Configure, deploy, and support laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and related hardware.
- Administer endpoint management policies, ensure device compliance, and handle application deployments.
- Monitor IT system performance to identify recurring issues and recommend process enhancements.
- Maintain records on IT assets, software licenses, and device lifecycles.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and managed service providers for technical support and escalation management.
- Support cybersecurity measures, identity and access management, and secure configuration standards.
- Assist with technology and infrastructure projects aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive IT documentation, policies, and technical standards.
- Support backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity procedures.
- Ensure high-quality customer service while meeting agreed service levels and internal KPIs.
- Develop strong relationships with colleagues and continually enhance the end-user IT experience.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 services.
- Familiar with Microsoft Entra ID and managing identity and access controls.
- Competent with Windows and macOS device support.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or similar endpoint management platforms.
- Hands-on experience administering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experienced in managing user onboarding, offboarding, and access request processes.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
- Able to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- UK work eligibility.
Preferred Experience
- At least three years working in IT Operations, Systems Administration, or Support roles.
- Background in defence, government, or security-sensitive organisations.
- Familiarity with Cyber Essentials Plus or ISO27001 standards.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Knowledge of Conditional Access and Azure administration.
- Having Microsoft certifications is advantageous.
