Role Overview
The company is seeking a proactive and customer-oriented IT Help Desk Specialist Level I to deliver outstanding technical assistance and ensure smooth daily IT operations for TEAM RMS users. Reporting directly to the IT Operations Manager, this role involves troubleshooting issues, supporting new staff onboarding, managing IT hardware, and working collaboratively with the IT Operations team to maintain consistent service delivery. The specialist will play an essential role in sustaining the company's growth by enabling employees to perform effectively through reliable technology support.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer friendly and efficient technical support to both remote and on-site users.
- Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems involving laptops, printers, smartphones, and related peripherals.
- Assist users with access to Office 365, VPN services, multi-factor authentication, and other critical applications.
- Act as the on-site liaison for IT department tasks requiring presence at the location.
- Communicate proactively with the IT team to escalate issues, update progress, and coordinate seamless operations.
- Partner with HR and IT departments to support onboarding by setting up equipment and providing IT system orientation to new hires.
- Work with the IT Operations team to document processes, generate knowledge base content, and develop user guides or FAQs for common issues.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of IT equipment, track device lifecycles, and arrange shipment of hardware as needed.
- Provide support for administrative functions within Microsoft Office 365 Entra ID, Defender, and Exchange Admin Center under supervision.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability, resolving or appropriately escalating every IT request with follow-up.
- Holds at least two years of experience in IT support or an equivalent blend of education and relevant experience.
- Experienced in end-user support with proficiency in Office 365, Windows operating systems, and foundational networking concepts.
- Passionate about technology and committed to keeping updated with the latest industry developments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills characterized by active listening and customer-focused service.
- Capable of multitasking, adapting to change, maintaining consistent productivity, and managing time effectively.
- Familiar with the use of diagnostic tools for issue identification and resolution.
- Open to learning and growing within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Possession of A+ certification is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift items up to 35 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits
This position is based in California, offering an hourly wage range of $22 to $24, adjusted based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
