Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) Consultant based locally in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to help enhance enterprise resilience. This strategic advisory position centers around governance, risk management, and operating models for Disaster Recovery within a leading organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct enterprise-wide IT Disaster Recovery risk assessments and maturity evaluations.
  • Create detailed Disaster Recovery Plans tailored to business-critical functions.
  • Establish recovery strategies including Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs), and prioritize application recovery steps.
  • Analyze technological dependencies and formulate comprehensive recovery workflows and procedures.
  • Develop and implement a Disaster Recovery Incident Management Framework, covering governance, escalation protocols, crisis communications, and executive-level reporting.
  • Construct an enterprise-wide IT Disaster Recovery Operating Model incorporating governance, roles, KPIs, KRIs, service metrics, and mechanisms for continuous improvement.
  • Lead workshops with business and IT stakeholders to pinpoint critical systems, dependencies, and recovery requirements.
  • Produce high-quality documentation including governance artifacts, standards, policies, and processes.
  • Ensure alignment of Disaster Recovery capabilities with global best practices and Saudi regulations.
  • Support the creation of Disaster Recovery maturity roadmaps and ongoing governance activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrable background in executing enterprise IT Disaster Recovery strategies, governance, and advisory projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ITDR Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in crafting Disaster Recovery Plans, recovery tactics, and governance frameworks.
  • Expertise in recovery strategy development, recovery workflows, RTO/RPO management, and critical application recovery mapping.
  • Proficiency in technology dependency analysis, Disaster Recovery governance structures, and operating models.
  • Familiarity with incident lifecycle management, escalation schemes, incident classification, severity scales, and crisis communication frameworks.
  • Advanced understanding of RACI matrices, executive and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ability to implement Lessons Learned processes and continuous service enhancement.
  • Skilled in designing enterprise operating models, governance frameworks, steering committees, KPIs, KRIs, and service quality metrics.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation abilities, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities to interact effectively with senior business and technical leadership.
