Role overview
DATAGROUP Operations GmbH is looking for an IT Change Manager to help steer and coordinate change activities for live customer environments. In this role, you will make sure changes are documented clearly, risks are evaluated, approvals are secured in advance, implementation is planned properly, and execution is monitored and communicated smoothly.
Your responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for technicians when they need support in creating change records, including guidance on the information that must be captured.
- Organize Change Advisory Board sessions, prepare the change requests for review, and present them during the meetings.
- Track required assessments and approval steps and ensure they are completed on time.
- Act as a bridge between different stakeholders and structure information so that all involved departments can work together effectively.
- Handle communication of changes to the relevant customer managers.
- Initiate and manage escalations related to changes when needed.
- Carry out structured post-review analysis for unsuccessful changes and support the start of improvement measures where necessary.
- Monitor emergency changes and perform follow-up reviews for them as well.
- Keep an eye on change turnaround times and make sure KPI targets are met.
- Contribute to the ongoing optimization of the change process together with the process owner.
What you should bring
- Completed vocational training or a degree in an IT-related field, or an equivalent qualification.
- Initial professional experience in IT service management processes, ideally in IT change management.
- Enjoyment in working with both technical teams and customer-facing staff, along with some prior exposure to such collaboration.
- Strong communication skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- First experience with common ITSM tools.
- ITIL certification is desirable, though not mandatory.
- Excellent German skills and good English skills.
- A valid work permit for Germany is required for this position.
- German language proficiency at a fluent level is required.
