Job description
Role overview
Hayfin Capital Management LLP is seeking a driven Investor Relations Analyst to support its Partner Solutions Group (PSG) in the U.S. team, based in New York. Hayfin is a global alternative asset manager with strong expertise in credit and a diversified alternatives platform, working with institutional investors across the Americas, Europe, and APAC.
This position supports the coverage team with the operational and analytical work needed for effective engagement with LPs and consultants. The role focuses on maintaining current relationship data, preparing accurate materials, and tracking market intelligence so the senior coverage professionals can lead conversations effectively. It is a high-visibility role that offers close exposure to the fundraising cycle and a strong foundation for a career in investor coverage.
Key responsibilities
- Assist coverage professionals managing LP and consultant relationships by coordinating meetings, tracking follow-ups, and preparing briefing notes on relationship history, investment context, and recent developments.
- Join external meetings, record detailed notes, and circulate action points quickly.
- Maintain clean and accurate CRM records for the U.S. coverage team, including LP and consultant interactions, pipeline updates, and relationship notes.
- Build and refresh segmented prospect lists, and research new institutional targets across public and corporate pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, and family offices, using AI-enabled research tools where helpful.
- Monitor LP allocation patterns, fundraising competition, and consultant scoring activity, then summarize key takeaways for the team.
- Contribute to annual fundraising planning, conference readiness, and customized investment presentations led by the coverage team.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in alternatives fundraising, investor relations, or a similar discipline.
- Exposure to U.S. institutional investors such as pensions, endowments, foundations, and insurance companies, and/or investment consultants.
- Understanding of alternative investment strategies, especially public and private credit.
- Practical experience with CRM platforms and prospect research tools, with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.
- Comfort using AI tools, large language models, and AI-assisted research platforms while maintaining sound judgment and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise way.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
- Professional manner, discretion, and good judgment in client-facing settings.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a base salary of USD 120,000 and eligibility for an annual performance bonus paid each December, pro-rated in 2026 based on start date. Benefits begin on day one and include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with employer match, employer-paid life insurance, fully covered mental health support, and 25 days of paid time off plus company holidays.
Additional information
This is a full-time onsite position in New York, NY. The role is designed for candidates who can support senior coverage professionals closely and contribute to the broader institutional fundraising process. Working with AI tools is part of the workflow, but accuracy and judgment remain essential.
