Job Overview

The Investment Risk & Performance Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Risk Management Department by supporting the development and execution of the company’s risk management strategies. The role involves detailed analysis, measurement, and reporting on investment portfolios to aid informed decision-making and enhance risk governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform both quantitative and qualitative analyses of investment portfolios to detect and assess risks.
  • Prepare and present quarterly reports detailing investment risk and performance, along with Risk Appetite reports.
  • Generate monthly compliance reports identifying any breaches or deviations and oversee their resolution.
  • Work closely with the investment team to ensure risk management frameworks align with investment strategies.
  • Carry out thorough analyses related to investment risk studies and assessments.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of portfolio data used in performance and risk reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations to facilitate smooth execution and reporting processes.
  • Assist in preparing performance attribution reports and analyses of risk-adjusted performance metrics.
  • Guarantee prompt and precise delivery of risk and performance reports to stakeholders.
  • Engage in ongoing enhancements of risk and performance reporting procedures and methodologies.
  • Develop and apply advanced analytical tools and techniques to assess portfolio risks and integrate findings into portfolio construction and management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of investment risk management tools, systems, and methods.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Investment, or a related discipline.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CME-1 and CME-4 are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages is required.
