About the Role
This position invites a talented Investment Manager or Director to join a distinguished mid-market private equity firm known for investing in buyout and growth opportunities within sectors showing strong structural appeal. The fund takes an active, hands-on approach by collaborating closely with company founders and management teams to nurture businesses strategically over a medium to long-term horizon.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute comprehensive deal processes from initial screening stages through to transaction completion.
- Conduct commercial due diligence directly liaising with management teams and external advisors to ensure informed investment decisions.
- Develop, prepare, and present high-quality investment committee documentation and participate actively in committee discussions.
- Partner closely with portfolio company leadership post-investment to drive value creation through strategy enhancement, bolt-on mergers and acquisitions, capital structure optimization, and operational improvements.
- Monitor portfolio performance against original investment theses and assist in adjusting strategic priorities accordingly.
- Participate in board meetings and strategic planning sessions alongside the deal team.
- Engage proactively in deal sourcing by building and maintaining relationships with founders, intermediaries, and advisors, while developing insightful investment theses and sector insights.
- Represent the firm professionally to external stakeholders to enhance market presence and deal flow.
Candidate Profile
- Brings between 5 and 12 years of experience in private equity, growth equity, investment banking, or corporate development roles.
- Possesses significant experience in executing buyout and/or growth equity transactions, particularly within the mid-market segment.
- Demonstrates strong expertise in financial modeling and sharp commercial acumen.
- Comfortable engaging with senior management and professional advisors confidently and effectively.
- Passionate about business building beyond simply executing transactions.
- Intellectually curious with meticulous attention to detail, motivated by long-term value creation.
- Works independently and takes accountability, while maintaining a low-ego, collaborative, and professional demeanor.
