About the Role
Platinum Pacific Partners is a leading growth equity investor headquartered in Sydney, focusing on expansion-stage and pre-IPO technology companies globally. This role offers a rare chance to collaborate directly with senior investors in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting, targeting private high-growth businesses and expanding international investment initiatives to access prime private technology companies before public listing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities primarily in US and global private markets, including secondary transactions and innovative private market structures.
- Source investment opportunities and conduct comprehensive due diligence.
- Perform detailed financial analysis and modeling to support investment decisions.
- Execute transactions and assist in portfolio management to prepare for exits.
- Develop investment committee presentations and materials.
- Establish and maintain relationships with private market platforms, venture capital firms, intermediaries, and company founders.
- Operate within a compact, high-achieving team with significant autonomy and direct involvement in investment decisions from the outset.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or venture capital.
- Strong capabilities in analytical thinking and financial modeling.
- Genuine interest and background in technology and innovation sectors.
- Experience across software, technology, telecommunications, media, or growth-oriented businesses is highly desirable.
- Commercially savvy, intellectually curious, and proactive with a passion for relationship-building and discovering unique investment prospects in rapidly evolving markets.
