Role Overview
This temporary and fully remote Investment Director position is focused on leading investment activities within Genesis Node Capital's portfolio related to the ergonomic and office solutions industry. Responsibilities include identifying and assessing prospective investments, conducting comprehensive financial and market analyses, and crafting data-supported investment strategies. The role involves managing due diligence processes, negotiating and structuring investment agreements, and continuously monitoring portfolio performance to maximize returns while mitigating risks.
The Investment Director collaborates extensively with both internal teams and external stakeholders, preparing detailed investment documentation and presentations, and playing a key role in strategic capital allocation decisions. Strong independent judgment, clear communication of complex financial information, and alignment with the organization's long-term objectives are essential.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience in investment management covering full deal lifecycle oversight.
- Advanced capabilities in financial modeling, market research, and data analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Deep understanding of investment strategies and finance principles that balance risk and return within portfolio management.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in remote work settings with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Background in private equity, venture capital, asset management, or corporate development considered an asset.
- Educational background including a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or certifications like CFA are advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing various stakeholders, and delivering high-quality investment recommendations promptly.
