Investment Banking Specialist

Position Overview

This role offers experienced Investment Banking professionals an opportunity to engage in advanced artificial intelligence research and evaluation projects. Rather than delivering traditional investment banking outputs, incumbents utilize their expertise to establish high standards of work quality, develop evaluation frameworks tailored to specific tasks, and rigorously assess completed samples with clear, justified written explanations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, task-specific grading standards for authentic investment banking outputs such as financial models, valuation assessments, pitch presentations, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), deal memorandums, and executive board or committee documents.
• Critically appraise and assign scores to both AI-generated and human-produced samples based on these established standards.
• Compose comprehensive written justifications that explicitly clarify the reasoning behind each evaluation and assigned score.
• Maintain uniform application of professional judgment supported by evidence to guarantee consistent and defensible evaluation results.
• Review financial analyses and banking deliverables for their precision, quality, thoroughness, and compliance with industry benchmarks.
• Incorporate structured feedback from senior evaluators to continuously improve assessment accuracy.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of two years in a professional investment banking role at an Associate level or higher.
• Background with a top-tier global bank or elite advisory firm in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, industry coverage, or capital markets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of core investment banking principles, including three-statement financial modeling, discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, leveraged buyout (LBO) models, comparable company analysis, transaction modeling, and merger mathematics.
• Strong grasp of valuation judgment, deal process documentation, and the expected formatting and accuracy norms for bank-standard deliverables.
• Excellent written communication capabilities enabling clear articulation of why work meets or fails professional criteria.
• Meticulous attention to detail, consistency in evaluation, and solid analytical reasoning.
• Ability to accept feedback constructively and calibrate assessments to align with established standards and peer input.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous involvement in AI training, model evaluation, or human-in-the-loop data projects.
• Experience in reviewing or evaluating investment banking output work products.
• Mentorship or supervisory experience over analysts or junior banking staff.

Compensation and Engagement

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $150 to $220.
• Payments processed on a weekly basis.
• Engagement structured as an independent contractor on an hourly contract basis.
