About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Investment Banking specialist with expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) to join a remote, hourly contract position. This role supports cutting-edge AI research and evaluation by leveraging deep domain knowledge in financial transactions. The candidate will contribute to creating, reviewing, and assessing realistic M&A scenarios to enhance AI financial reasoning capabilities, working up to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and assess practical investment banking and M&A case studies.
- Perform in-depth examination of mergers and acquisitions, including transaction details, financial statements, valuation models, and corporate finance processes.
- Develop and scrutinize financial models, company and industry analyses, and transaction documentation.
- Critically evaluate AI-generated financial outputs for accuracy, quality, and logical rigor in investment banking contexts.
- Utilize expertise in due diligence, valuation approaches, and deal execution to refine AI content.
- Distill complex financial data into clear, substantiated recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with AI research teams to ensure evaluation consistency and quality enhancement.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive investment banking background focused on M&A engagements.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, transaction execution, company and market analysis in M&A settings.
- Proficiency in mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, company and industry evaluation, transaction management, due diligence, and preparation of pitch and investment committee materials.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles, accounting, financial statement interpretation, and valuation techniques.
- Excellent analytical, modeling, and communication capabilities.
- Must reside in the United Kingdom and possess the legal right to work there.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous roles at reputable global investment banks with robust M&A practices.
- Experience advising strategic buyers, private equity sponsors, or publicly listed companies on multifaceted transactions.
- Skilled in preparing board-level presentations, investment memoranda, and transaction recommendations.
- Meticulous with the capacity to handle intricate financial scenarios.
Compensation and Engagement
- Competitive hourly pay between $180 and $230.
- Weekly payment cycles.
