Role overview

Deutsche Bank is hiring an Associate for its Investment Banking & Capital Markets team focused on Leveraged Finance in New York, NY. The group supports a broad range of advisory and financing solutions for large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies, and financial sponsors.

The business works across buy-side and sell-side advisory, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring advice, debt and equity capital raising, ESG-linked solutions, and structured equity transactions. It also advises on cross-border and regional deals across the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

What you will do

  • Carry out detailed company- and industry-level research to support transaction work and client discussions.
  • Help execute advisory and financing transactions while coordinating several assignments at once, often under demanding and international deadlines.
  • Draft marketing and deal materials such as confidential memoranda, pitch presentations, corporate profiles, and analytical support documents.
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuations, and forecast analyses for financial statements.
  • Develop a strong working understanding of the bank’s product range.

Skills and experience needed

  • Substantial market presence and experience in the relevant arena, with strong knowledge of products and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to independently support several clients at once, manage competing priorities, and contribute to meaningful revenue generation.
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify client and market issues, address challenges proactively, and act on opportunities.
  • Required licensing: SIE, Series 63, and Series 79.

Compensation and benefits

The posted salary range for New York City is USD 150,000 to USD 225,000. Final pay may vary based on skills, experience, education, work location, and other qualifications. Incentive compensation and other forms of remuneration are not included in that range.
