Job description
Role overview
UBS is seeking an Associate to join its London-based UK Corporate Broking & Advisory team. This position suits someone who has experience in client coverage and transaction execution, and who is comfortable working with established client relationships.
The role calls for an independent self-starter who can take on complex analytical and execution work with minimal oversight. You will need to collaborate closely with colleagues across the deal team, manage multiple projects at once, and contribute to the broader team culture by supporting and coaching junior bankers.
What you will do
In this role, you will help drive day-to-day execution across corporate broking and the wider investment banking product set, including M&A, ECM and DCM. You will be involved in building financial models, performing valuation work, preparing client materials, coordinating advisers, running diligence, and supporting negotiation processes.
You will also contribute to coverage of retained listed clients by keeping a close eye on markets, explaining market movements and market drivers in a clear way, and bringing relevant market context into corporate finance and strategy discussions.
Team focus
The UK Corporate Broking & Advisory franchise in London is looking for a driven Associate who can support both client coverage and transaction execution. The team works across corporate broking advice, public and private M&A, equity capital markets, and financing-related execution, while also supporting clients with preparedness and response planning where needed.
Areas of support
- Corporate broking support, including investor relations topics, management-team dialogue, and ongoing retained adviser responsibilities
- M&A execution for public and private deals, covering valuations, analysis, process coordination, and presentation materials
- ECM support alongside product specialists on IPOs, rights issues, accelerated bookbuilds, placings, and similar equity raise processes
- Debt capital markets and leveraged finance support, including financing analysis and execution in partnership with product teams
- Defence and activism planning, including scenario work and client preparation where required
Candidate profile
The right person will be thoughtful, commercially aware, and able to translate detailed analysis into polished, client-ready outputs. You should enjoy building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, be comfortable running several workstreams in parallel, and have a genuine interest in companies and capital markets.
Strong spoken and written English is required. Additional languages are welcomed but are not essential.
