About the Role
An independent advisory firm based in London is seeking an Associate to join their team. The position offers the chance to engage with a diverse array of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals within the technology-enabled sectors. The role involves close collaboration with senior bankers, company founders, private equity investors, and corporate clients on both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the full cycle of M&A transactions from deal origination through to closure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and conduct valuation assessments.
- Create a variety of crucial documentation including marketing materials, information memoranda, management presentations, and investor reports.
- Perform detailed research on industry trends, companies, and the competitive landscape.
- Manage due diligence activities and liaise effectively with clients and other stakeholders.
- Support relationship-building efforts with entrepreneurs, management teams, investors, and strategic buyers.
- Contribute actively to business development efforts and client pitching activities.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 3 to 6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or closely related disciplines.
- Demonstrate strong skills in financial modelling and valuation.
- Have experience assisting with M&A transactions and coordinating multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Hold a solid academic record.
- Exemplify an entrepreneurial approach and the capability to thrive in a dynamic, client-oriented environment.
