About the Role
Jefferies' Real Estate Gaming & Lodging (REGAL) Group delivers a comprehensive suite of investment banking services tailored to the real estate sector. Our client roster spans diverse industries including residential, office, industrial, retail, storage, casino operations, lodging, and leisure. The REGAL team comprises over 20 investment bankers with a focus on clientele across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
We are actively seeking an experienced Associate for our offices in New York, NY or Charlotte, NC. This position entails significant exposure to leading advisory and capital markets transactions, where you will play a primary role in deal execution and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and contribute to client presentations and pitch materials.
- Develop various financial analyses, including valuation assessments, pro forma models, and comprehensive three-statement operational models.
- Evaluate business plans and engage actively in due diligence processes.
- Prepare private and public marketing documents like offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, and S-11 registration statements.
- Lead drafting sessions and manage the preparation of internal deal memorandums.
- Participate in client meetings, fostering strong relationships with senior executives.
- Collaborate across teams including Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, High Yield, Investment Grade, and Restructuring specialists.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, directing and coordinating analysts' efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess either (i) an MBA with 1-3+ years of associate-level investment banking experience, or (ii) an undergraduate degree plus 3+ years in Real Estate investment banking in an Associate role.
- Demonstrated experience within a Real Estate Group or servicing Real Estate clients.
- Proficient technical skillset with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Knowledgeable in investment banking modeling methodologies.
- Capacity to manage diverse transactions and projects simultaneously.
- Adept at leading and organizing the workflow of analysts across various assignments.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Current residency in New York City or Charlotte, or willingness to relocate to these locations.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is from $150,000 to $225,000 annually.
