Role Overview
The Investment Banking Analyst/Associate position offers the chance to engage deeply with business development and transaction activities. This opportunity is designed for individuals passionate about investment banking who wish to be considered for forthcoming openings within our team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with analysts, associates, VPs, and senior bankers across Canada and the U.S.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models and conduct various strategic and financial analyses including discounted cash flow, comparable companies, and precedent transactions.
- Perform thorough quantitative and qualitative industry research and analysis.
- Manage and update detailed financial databases and valuation tools continuously.
- Assist in preparing transaction documents, proposals, pitch books, and information memoranda used for business development and marketing.

Candidate Expectations
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis and modeling techniques.
- Good understanding of financial principles and capital markets.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and enthusiasm to learn new software.

Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in a business-related field or relevant professional designation such as CFA, CA, CPA or CBV.
- One to three years of professional experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a similar field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with Capital IQ and Bloomberg platforms is advantageous.
