About the Opportunity
Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Investment Banking team in New York delivers tailored strategic and financial solutions to a diverse set of corporate, institutional, and government clients worldwide. The group maintains close collaboration with other product teams across Mergers & Acquisitions and Global Capital Markets, providing a dynamic environment where professionals help clients navigate complex transactions and market challenges.
Key Role Summary
This position offers the chance to work directly with both regional and global clients on an array of sophisticated transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, capital raises, share repurchases, and defending against unsolicited takeover attempts. You will be part of a dedicated team, comprised of seasoned professionals, working to offer innovative and high-quality advisory services. The environment is supportive, challenging, and intellectually stimulating, empowering analysts to develop a holistic understanding of the industry and client needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support execution and advisory efforts across real estate-related mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital market transactions.
- Participate in transactions involving public and private equity and debt offerings, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and shareholder relations.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial analyses, valuation models, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with team members and other divisions to structure and deliver creative, client-focused solutions.
- Stay current with market trends and relevant industry developments to inform and strengthen client recommendations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of prior experience in investment banking, capital markets, or a related field.
- A Bachelor's degree at a leading educational institution is mandatory.
- Experience specifically within the real estate sector is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong track record of analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Motivated, adaptable, and results-driven with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Licensing in relevant Series or willingness to obtain it post-hire.
- Aspiring to build a long-term career in investment banking.

- The anticipated base compensation for this role begins at $125,000 annually, with overall remuneration potentially including additional forms such as commissions, bonuses, incentives, and comprehensive benefits.
