About the Role
Barclays is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst specializing in the Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging (REGAL) sectors. The role involves delivering tailored financial solutions and working across various assets and assignments within these industries. The analyst will engage closely with both internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure superior service and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with corporate clients, gaining in-depth knowledge of their businesses, goals, and sector trends.
- Identify growth opportunities to expand the client base and create new business avenues for the bank.
- Perform comprehensive financial assessments and due diligence to evaluate client financial health and valuations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage all required documentation for transactions, such as contracts and agreements.
- Partner with other departments including Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management to offer holistic client solutions.
- Support initiatives around energy transition and sustainability by engaging clients in climate strategies and sustainable financing where relevant.
- Consistently execute assigned tasks with high standards and promote continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance within the team as applicable, fostering professional growth and resource coordination.
- Maintain adherence to policies, manage risks effectively, and contribute to embedding new procedures for risk mitigation.
- Act as a key contact for stakeholders inside and outside the organization, maintaining robust networks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in financial modeling and evaluation techniques.
- Experienced in analyzing income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and debt transactions.
- Familiarity with corporate finance activities including M&A, IPOs, and secondary offerings.
- Specific focus and coverage expertise in Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging sectors.
Preferred Additional Competencies
- Project management capabilities.
- Training in financial tools such as Training the Street, Wall Street Prep, FactSet, or Bloomberg platforms.
- Understanding of technical real estate concepts and valuation methods.
- Prior experience in real estate industry contexts.
Assessments and Technical Expectations
Candidates may be assessed on their expertise in financial modeling, financial statement analysis, macroeconomic evaluation, and relevant job-specific technical skills.
Compensation and Location
The position is located in New York, NY and is regulated by FINRA. The base salary range for this role is between $110,000 and $135,000 annually, excluding any additional compensation or benefits.
