Role overview
JPMorganChase is hiring an Investment Banking Analyst for its Equity Capital Markets team in New York. This position is focused on supporting equity capital raising activity and contributing to the execution of complex, high-profile transactions for issuer clients.
As part of the global Analyst class in ECM, you will work on live mandates alongside a regional team of Analysts and Associates. The role includes transaction execution, client support, analytical work, and collaboration across multiple internal groups. Frequent travel may be part of the work due to active transaction coverage.
What you will do
- Support the execution of public equity capital raising deals, including IPOs and follow-on offerings.
- Help senior bankers prepare for client interactions such as pitches and RFP responses.
- Coordinate with internal partners across industry coverage, sales and trading, syndicate, equity research, and legal.
- Develop written materials and research pieces focused on equity capital markets and the technology sector.
- Conduct issuer-side analysis such as precedent transaction review and shareholder targeting.
- Prepare presentation decks and internal committee memorandums ahead of transaction launch.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline, along with a strong foundation in accounting, finance, quantitative analysis, and business writing. A solid understanding of capital markets and the ECM execution process is important.
Success in this role also requires excellent communication skills, the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and clients, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving team environment. Candidates should be self-driven, highly motivated, and capable of managing several active assignments at once while maintaining accuracy.
