Role Overview
We are seeking an Investment Associate to join our Melbourne or Sydney office as part of the investment team. This role involves supporting renewable energy investment and development initiatives, contributing to M&A activities across various technologies and locations in Australia, and helping to shape our future portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage deeply with the Australian renewable energy sector and investment opportunities.
- Participate in M&A deal processes, collaborating with internal teams and external advisors across multiple work streams.
- Communicate effectively as a vital team member, both verbally and in writing.
- Perform financial modelling to assess project risks, bankability, and update or create financial models.
- Prepare and support investment committee and board reporting, presenting ideas clearly to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Background in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance within a Big Four accounting firm preferred.
- Professional financial certifications such as CFA, CA, or MBAs are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Eligibility to work in Australia is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
