Role overview
An internationally established private equity investor in real estate is expanding its German investment activities and is looking for an Investment Analyst for its Berlin office. The business is in an exciting growth stage and wants to strengthen its local investment platform with a high-potential graduate or analyst who has an excellent academic record, strong internship experience, and ideally some early exposure to value-add strategies.
What you will do
- Assist with evaluating and sourcing new real estate investment opportunities.
- Build financial models and carry out cash flow and sensitivity analysis.
- Review business plans, CapEx budgets, and value-creation initiatives.
- Perform market, location, and competition research.
- Support due diligence, acquisition, and financing processes.
- Prepare materials for investment committee review.
- Work closely with banks, advisors, and other external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of a German investment portfolio.
Candidate profile
- A completed degree with above-average results in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a similar field.
- Initial relevant internship or working-student experience with a real estate private equity investor, investment manager, investment bank, or transaction advisory firm.
- Early exposure to value-add strategies, repositioning projects, or asset management topics is preferred.
- Strong analytical ability, plus very solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Fluent professional German and English skills.
- High personal drive, an entrepreneurial mindset, and genuine interest in complex transactions.
