The company supports the energy transition by creating equity and debt investment opportunities for institutional investors in the clean energy infrastructure space. Beyond traditional asset management, the team is involved in planning, structuring, financing, and operating clean energy projects with a long-term impact mindset.
The role is a full-time, permanent position based in Hamburg.
Role Overview
As an Investment Analyst, you will contribute to investment evaluation, transaction execution, and ongoing portfolio oversight. The position combines financial analysis, deal support, and asset management responsibilities while working closely with internal teams and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and screen new investment opportunities for potential suitability.
- Build, maintain, and analyze financial models, including sensitivity analyses throughout the M&A process.
- Support deal and financing execution by coordinating due diligence, reviewing financial information, and helping to manage financial closing.
- Interact with bankers, lawyers, project developers, and financial advisors during transactions.
- Perform financial analysis and asset management work for assets already in the portfolio.
- Track portfolio performance through budgeting, liquidity forecasts, and comparisons of target versus actual results.
Candidate Profile
The company is looking for someone with a degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance and a strong academic background. Prior internships or early professional experience in Finance, M&A, or Asset Management are preferred. The role requires strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, solid quantitative and analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently under pressure while meeting deadlines. Attention to detail and teamwork are also important. Fluency in both English and German, spoken and written, is required; additional languages are an advantage. Experience in renewables is considered beneficial.
What You Can Expect
Luxcara offers a collaborative environment shaped by expertise across technology, construction, operations, power markets, and financing. The workplace is designed to support independent and creative work through flat hierarchies, and the culture places strong emphasis on team spirit and diversity. The team represents more than 20 spoken languages and over 20 nationalities, helping maintain close relationships with local partners and bringing a wide range of perspectives to everyday work.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package.
- Modern office in a central Hamburg city-centre location.
- Hybrid working model with a flexible mix of office and remote work.
- Opportunities for individual professional development.
- Public transport ticket, JobRad, and EGYM Wellpass.
- Team activities such as offsite workshops, workations, after-work events, and local social action days.
