Job description
Role overview
This position supports prosecution and investigation activities in Dubai. The officer will handle case files in the electronic system, prepare investigation paperwork, coordinate with relevant parties, and assist the prosecutor during case processing and related field duties.
Key duties
- Review incoming case files in the electronic system, verify that the attachments are complete, and submit them to the assigned prosecution member.
- Forward criminal case files received digitally, including any seized items, to the prosecutor.
- Open investigation reports and confirm the statements, records, documents, photographs, and seized materials linked to each file.
- Prepare and print case outcomes such as referral orders, administrative preservation decisions, restitution memoranda, and lack-of-jurisdiction memoranda for opinion cases.
- Draft and print detention, release, bail, cost, and summons orders.
- Record whether summoned individuals were present or absent in the investigation report.
- Process physical and monetary seizures under the prosecutor’s supervision and transfer them to the relevant department for safekeeping and deposit.
- Accompany the prosecutor for investigations, crime-scene inspections, and visits to police station detention facilities and penal institutions.
- Track detention orders and monitor their expiry dates under prosecutorial supervision.
- Follow up with the relevant authorities to obtain technical reports needed for investigation and litigation procedures.
- Arrange appointments for case parties and reviewers.
- Manage the prosecutor’s administrative workload, including correspondence, contact coordination, and interview scheduling.
- Liaise with police stations and penal institutions to request detainees.
- Monitor reviewer requests through the prosecution system.
- Attend extension sessions with the prosecutor.
- Be available for weekend, holiday, and public-holiday shifts with the prosecutor.
Qualifications
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in law. Candidates must be male, have completed military service, and be UAE nationals. Strong typing speed is also required.
