Job description
Job Overview
The role involves managing and obtaining approvals for departmental purchase orders, ensuring compliance with conditions and meeting the specifications across various departments. Additionally, it requires verifying materials during receipt, issuance, and storage.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute procurement plans for equipment and materials, ensuring adherence to approved guidelines and industry best practices.
- Implement cost-saving measures and revenue-generating initiatives, overseeing and controlling expenses related to procurement, hospitality, travel, transportation, and general services.
- Maintain thorough documentation of procurement and supply processes in authorized records.
- Review and validate tender and procurement documents, issuing requests to suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Process material and supply orders promptly to guarantee availability with optimal quality and pricing.
- Contribute to reporting on tender, contract, and procurement lifecycle activities.
- Manage registration of suppliers, contractors, and service providers within the official vendor registry.
- Update and prepare the supplier database for entities interested in bidding for departmental projects and programs.
- Engage in supplier follow-up and oversee after-sales services such as warranty and maintenance.
- Coordinate the execution of periodic supplier recommendations to improve performance and service delivery.
- Prepare performance indicator reports collaboratively with the Procurement Unit staff.
- Document all memos, correspondence, and meeting records related to procurement tasks and ensure their proper execution.
- Monitor compliance with decisions and circulars tied to the job and guarantee adherence to established protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Law.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field.
- Male candidates with completed national service.
- Only UAE nationals are eligible to apply.
