Job Overview
This position is responsible for shaping and driving the business strategy, policies, and guidelines concerning international taxation, ensuring these align with financial reporting practices and overall organizational objectives. The role supports business units, corporate departments, and subsidiaries concerning international tax matters, transfer pricing, and Double Tax Treaties. Additionally, the role involves assisting in implementing and maintaining transfer pricing policies and documentation, strictly adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, feasibility analysis, and execution of the group's tax strategies.
- Provide support to business units and corporate functions on international tax compliance, transfer pricing, and treaty matters.
- Assist in the establishment and upkeep of transfer pricing policies and necessary documentation.
- Prepare responses for tax audits and analyze international tax and transfer pricing assessments.
- Collaborate effectively with business units and corporate teams on tax and transfer pricing projects.
- Assess, document, and mitigate risks related to global permanent establishments.
- Oversee compliance with international tax regulations across group entities.
- Conduct research on international tax developments and devise strategies to benefit from changes in tax legislation.
- Participate in international tax planning and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) activities.
- Utilize Double Tax Treaty benefits and identify potential tax refunds for the company.
- Support risk management initiatives related to international tax and transfer pricing, implementing mitigation measures.
- Investigate opportunities for the company to capitalize on international conventions and lead efforts toward these benefits.
- Review and identify tax refund opportunities under international double taxation agreements between Saudi Arabia and other countries.
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, preferably with managerial responsibility in Tax and VAT control within a large-scale service-oriented business.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance is required.
- Additional professional certifications related to tax or finance are advantageous.
