Job description

About Hegen

Hegen is a purpose-led brand known for award-winning products that support mothers and young children. The company focuses on easing the breastfeeding journey and making the move into parenthood simpler through practical, well-designed solutions that balance usefulness, sustainability, and innovation. Hegen is also recognised as one of Singapore’s 10 fastest-growing companies.

About the Role

The International Business Executive will be a key contributor to Hegen’s overseas expansion efforts, helping turn international strategy into day-to-day execution. This role combines market development, account handling, business operations, and coordination across teams. You will support market entry activities, work with external partners, and collaborate internally to help deliver steady growth in overseas markets.

The right candidate is commercially sharp, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment. The role suits someone who is practical, detail-focused, and able to work effectively across functions, cultures, and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research potential markets, assess opportunities, and gather competitor and field insights to support expansion decisions.
  • Carry out go-to-market activities across different regions and help ensure smooth, timely market launches.
  • Keep pricing, product listings, and market documentation current and aligned with internal standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas clients and strategic partners to unlock business opportunities.
  • Provide in-person support such as product presentations, brand demonstrations, commercial discussions, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between international clients and internal teams to ensure clear follow-through and execution.
  • Work with distributors to combine forecasts and align them with production and supply planning.
  • Coordinate partner requests, track progress, and help resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Support new product launches by sharing the right tools, training, and information with partners.
  • Maintain accurate records, including contracts, pricing agreements, and business documentation, while meeting internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare regular updates on market results, sales performance, and new business opportunities, and suggest actions for improvement.
  • Monitor potential brand misuse or infringement to support anti-counterfeit protection efforts.
  • Collaborate with teams such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to keep business plans aligned and execution seamless.
  • Spot operational gaps or bottlenecks early and step in where support is needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in international business operations, export sales, or key account management.
  • Strong commercial judgement along with good presentation and organisational abilities.
  • Strong written and spoken English and Mandarin communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and sensitivity to working across different cultures.
  • A self-starter who can take initiative and work independently.
  • Collaborative team mindset with a positive, can-do approach toward shared objectives.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work across time zones when needed.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
