About the Role
Navitas seeks a meticulous and results-driven International Admissions - Genuine Student Support Officer to collaborate with Griffith University, a renowned Australian higher education institution celebrated for excellence in teaching, research, and student achievement. This position involves assisting the university's international enrolment efforts within the African region by enhancing application quality, conducting Genuine Student (GS) assessments, and ensuring compliance to safeguard visa integrity and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Genuine Student evaluations and financial verification in line with university guidelines and service standards.
- Achieve established KPIs concerning accuracy, turnaround efficiency, responsiveness, and quality of service delivery.
- Keep student data current and precise across all pertinent systems.
- Refer complex or high-risk cases following defined protocols.
- Offer constructive critiques on application completeness and supporting documents.
- Handle queries from internal and external parties professionally and promptly.
- Detect emerging Genuine Student and visa-related risks and propose refinements to procedures.
- Assist in reporting duties and efforts toward ongoing enhancements.
- Track visa denial patterns and other risk factors to aid informed decision-making.
Key Requirements
- Relevant tertiary education or proven experience in international admissions, compliance, case management, or customer service.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities paired with sound decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with global education frameworks and academic credentials.
- Ability to juggle diverse priorities without sacrificing precision or attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective presentation abilities and stakeholder engagement with a client-centric orientation.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Well-organized with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital platforms; additional languages relevant to Africa are advantageous.
Employment Terms
- This role is offered as a fixed-term contract lasting one year.
