Job description

About the role

Marina Bay Sands is seeking a creative, energetic Social Media Intern to support its social and marketing efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about digital culture and wants to contribute to a fast-moving team working across a wide mix of business areas, including the hotel, events and entertainment, food and beverage, ArtScience Museum, and retail.

The intern will help create engaging social content for Marina Bay Sands’ different business units, take part in on-site events and property shoots, and help manage online communities across the brand’s owned social platforms.

What you will do

  • Come up with fresh ideas and produce standout content for both paid and organic social media, especially short-form video for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
  • Support team leads in planning, coordinating and delivering social campaigns across multiple business units.
  • Help build and maintain weekly and monthly content calendars.
  • Research, draft and adapt copy for different social channels and formats.
  • Coordinate with other departments to create social-first content and property activations.
  • Focus on Instagram formats such as Reels, Stories, Feed and Guides, along with TikTok, using a video-first approach; content may also extend to Facebook and China-facing channels.
  • Monitor and engage with online communities by replying to posts, comments and reviews across all owned social media platforms.
  • Support ad hoc events and special projects, including event coverage and preparation of event reports.

What we are looking for

  • A student currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree, ideally with an interest in social media or digital marketing.
  • Ability to edit short-form video content for social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro knowledge will be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with different teams on administration, planning and coordination.
  • Interest or hands-on experience in shooting and editing videos and creating social content on mobile, desktop or in-app tools.
  • Interest or experience in graphic design, content creation, and social video production.
  • Exposure to marketing and advertising, or the hospitality and F&B sectors, especially within SG/APAC/global contexts, is preferred.
  • A proactive, curious and friendly personality who enjoys challenges and takes initiative.
  • Strong awareness of social media platforms, trends, pop culture and emerging digital movements.
  • Solid project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Portfolio submission and/or links to social media profiles are required to showcase relevant content creation and planning work.
