Intern, Business Transformation Office, APEC + GC

Program overview

This corporate internship is part of Marriott International’s learning program for students who want practical exposure in a professional hospitality environment. The role is designed to help interns apply classroom learning to real business work through guided projects, coaching, and day-to-day support.

The intern will support the Business Transformation Office, which is driving a major technology transformation across the Asia Pacific region. The experience offers direct exposure to hotel operations from a corporate perspective, along with opportunities to build career-ready skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support communication tasks, coordination work, and other assigned ad hoc requests.
• Help organize conferences, manage vendors, and support event execution.
• Assist with document translation and formatting work.
• Monitor project timelines and help ensure milestones are completed on schedule.
• Contribute to research, analysis, and reporting that support business decisions.
• Participate in stakeholder engagement and planning discussions.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Strong written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to write for wide audiences and prepare presentations; media or graphic design exposure is an advantage.
• Excellent English writing ability is essential.
• Careful attention to detail, with strong organization and program management capability.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good at prioritizing work and handling several tasks at once.
• Creative, innovative, and proactive, with the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Adaptable with a positive, can-do approach and openness to varied duties and occasional peak-hour work.
• Fluent English is required; knowledge of another Asian language is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.

Qualification and eligibility

Preferred study areas include Hospitality, Media & Communications, Business Management, or Marketing. Applicants must be Singaporean, a Singapore Permanent Resident, or hold a valid student pass or work holiday pass.

Candidates should be enrolled in, or be a graduate of, a university in Singapore or in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or the United States. The internship requires a six-month commitment.
